About Pentucket Medical

Our promise, your commitment to your good health.

Whether you visit us once a year for a physical or more often for a chronic health problem, Pentucket Medical will provide you and your family with the service, information and education required to achieve and maintain good health.

For 50 years, Pentucket Medical has been providing extraordinary healthcare to the residents of the Merrimack Valley. With the latest in diagnostics, technology and research, we proudly offer unparalleled acute, chronic and wellness care to our patients. Our primary care and specialty teams include more than 55 physicians, 40 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and over 300 clinical and administrative support staff.

With five sites located in the Merrimack Valley, including two urgent care/Express Care facilities, Pentucket Medical provides access to care 7 days a week.  For care that is more specialized, we refer patients to some of the finest hospitals in the Merrimack Valley, and in Boston, through our affiliation with Partners Healthcare, Mass General and Brigham’s Women Hospitals.

Quality and Compliance are of the utmost importance to PMA.

Pentucket Medical has received from NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) Patient Medical Home Level 3 Recognition, the highest level a medical practice can receive. In addition to this recognition we hold many accreditations and certifications acknowledging the work we do maintaining the highest of medical standards.

Pentucket Medical is the only medical practice in the region that is actively involved in clinical trials that have made improvements in the lives of people who experience heath attack, heart failure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Five of these trials have resulted in drugs approved by the FDA for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and heart failure as well as the guideline for patients post heart attack.

Our most valuable asset is our employees

Many of our employees not only care for our patients but are committed to the community as well through volunteering, serving on boards of organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Chambers of Commerce and Veterans Assisting Veterans to name a few. Each provides their time and talent where it is needed the most.

Thank you for choosing PMA as your source for health care.

Pentucket Medical has remained committed to ensuring the safety of our patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since June 1, we have been treating patients on-site per the four-phase guidance issued to healthcare facilities by Governor Baker and the Massachusetts Department of Health and Human Services.

In the coming weeks, we will continue following stringent infection prevention processes and implementing specific precautions to ensure a safe environment for essential patient care services.

Here are some of the changes you will see on your next visit to Pentucket Medical:

When scheduling an appointment with a clinician, you will be provided a phone number to call when you arrive at the office this will allow you to remain safe in your car until it is time to see your provider essentially cutting out waiting rooms

We appreciate your support.
