Performs a variety of billing functions to minimize accounts receivable. Demonstrate competency and a thorough understanding of rules and regulations for all HMO, government and commercial insurance plans. Knowledge with appeals process based on payer specific issues. Post adjustments, applying or moving monies as necessary to complete the resolution of each invoice. Effectively handle telephone inquiries from insurance companies and other internal departments. Meet deadline and productivity standards of the department.

Requirements:
•3 years of experience in medical billing and AR systems
•Demonstrates proficiency with a variety of automations, including but not limited to: INGENIX, MEDIC, CENTRICITY PRACTICE SOLUTIONS, ALLSCRIPTS, EMR, Cognos, all Microsoft Office products and Crystal reports.
•Experience with all MA insurance products including BCBS, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim as well as Medicare/Medicaid.
